The Special Collections Department at Morehead State University was established in 1972 to serve the needs of its patrons by acquiring and providing access to information about the cultural history of the Appalachian region of northeastern Kentucky.
The ScholarWorks @ Morehead State digital repository was launched in 2015 to make the various collections accessible to the world.
