Learn about operating a CO2 laser cutter and engraver From concept to cut. we'll explore example projects and live demonstrations to understand both the applications and limitations of the laser as a creative tool, as well as other types of CNC lasers and their uses. Laser safety will be emphasized.

Breaking down the details of 3D printing to bring digital models into the real world through additive manufacturing. This session will put a spotlight on the mechanical processes of FDM 3D printers for a crucial understand of how the machines work, the user settings needed for successful printing, and methods of troubleshooting.

X-Carve by Inventables is an easy to use answer to the CNC router market, allowing computer controlled carving of a range of materials like wood, acrylic, vinyl, some metals, and more through the use of beginner friendly but capable software. This session will dive into the basics of setting up a CNC project and running the X-Carve machine.

Bring your ideas into three dimensions while practicing a 3D pen in this hands-on session that will explore the tips, tricks, do's, and don'ts of the handheld version of 3D printing. We'll practice the basic techniques and discuss the 3D pen method of plastic fabrication as a helpful tool, and an artform of its own

Learn the basics of design for the process of 3D printing. - Tinkercad is a beginner-friendly resource for 3D modeling made by the industry leaders at Autodesk. This simple but powerful tool can be used to create models for 3D printing. We will have a hands-on walkthrough of the creative process of modeling, then create personalized keychains to be 3D printed.
