Library Materials

GSP students may check out library materials using their official MSU ID. The library collection is searchable via the search box on the library homepage.

The library collection includes:

  • sheet music
  • graphic novels
  • bestsellers

Databases

The library has over 170 journal and reference databases, containing full-text articles, videos, and other academic materials. These databases may be searched from within the library, or from outside the library by entering an MSU ID and Password. You may browse the databases:

If you need a meeting room the library has several options that can be scheduled using the button below.  Our policy is to make each space available for reservations only two weeks in advance.  This is to prevent people from monopolizing our limited number of rooms.

Recreational Reading Collection

  • The Recreational Reading Collection contain the newest bestsellers in fiction and non-fiction, including biographies. It also contains the Student Picks collection, a list of materials that students from MSU have requested be available.
  • Location: Ground Floor to the left of the Circulation Desk

Graphic Novels Collection

  • The Graphic Novel Collection includes comic strip and comic book collected editions along with many contemporary single-volume graphic novels from the Americas, Europe, and Japan. Patron requests and staff picks are the main drivers behind the selection of titles for this collection. Search the Graphic Novels Collection.

Main Fiction Collection

  • The Main Fiction Collection contains popular fiction books and prize winning contemporary literature. We strive to collect in all genres of interest to the MSU population.

  • The Current Periodicals Collection includes magazines and hometown newspapers in print format.
