Embargo Periods: For Recently Published Journal Articles

Publishers often impose a delay on database vendors which restricts them from offering the most recent articles.  This is to prevent libraries and individuals from cancelling subscriptions.  This period of delay is called an "embargo" and is determined on a journal-by-journal basis.  The typical embargo period is 18 months.  The two examples below show how you can tell when a embargo is in effect.
