Karla Aleman, Distance Instruction Librarian at Camden-Carroll Library, grew up in sunny California.  She received her M.L.I.S. from San Jose State University and undergraduate degree in Medieval Studies from the University of California Santa Barbara. 

   Hired to coordinate Library services and instruction to regional and online students, Karla has a strong interest in developing and adapting those services to fit the needs of students and faculty in an ever changing environment.  As the Library’s Webmaster, she strives to cultivate an engaging and useful online Library presence.  She currently is the Librarian Liaison to the English Department and to the International & Interdisciplinary Studies Department.

   Curiosity is a great word to describe her; she loves to travel and explore new places.
